The Mile High City wasn't quite far enough west for Jean Mitchell. Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, this outdoorsy professional discovered her passion for the alpine lifestyle while on a college spring break in Vail.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Advertising from Kent State University, Jean was an account executive with some of Denver's most noted agencies. From there, she worked for the developer of Castle Pines Village, a luxury country club community south of Denver where she found her ideal career in real estate. Licensed in 1992, she followed the growth into downtown Denver, working for a real estate developer of condos in the heart of city.
Following parallel tracks but from opposite ends in the world, Jean and her New Zealander husband Pat met in Denver and married in Beaver Creek in the mid nineties. Their shared fondness for the Vail Valley propelled them to move permanently to the region in 1996.
Now all her skills and experience in marketing and sales have conspired to make her a winning member of the progressive Sonnenalp Real Estate team. Jean excels at helping buyers and sellers with transactions of luxury properties throughout the Vail Valley.
"I am enthusiastic about selling Vail Valley property because of the lifestyle it manifests - one that I see as ideal. Vail is a premier resort community and a place where people aspire to have a vacation home to enjoy as their families grow," says Jean. With two daughters of her own, Jean speaks with some authority on the subject of raising children in the mountains. In addition, Jean specializes in selling the Austria Haus Club, a private residence club located in Vail Village.
