VAIL — Here’s a roundup of current construction projects happening in Vail, Colorado.

Four Seasons Resort
Exterior stonework and massive timbers are being added to the building just off of Vail’s main roundabout. Stucco coloring is being tested on the exteriors, and application will soon start on the southern portion of the building, says Emily McCormack, spokeswoman for the project.

Drywall installation has been completed in the resort’s model residence, and painting and stonework are now underway on the interiors.

Work also continues outside the property with installation of the brick pavers connecting East and West Meadow drives and the snowmelt underneath. New sewer lines are also being brought to the property along South Frontage Road.

Four Seasons Resort Vail includes a 121-room hotel, 19 fractional residences and 16 whole-ownership condominiums. The site is located just southwest of the main Vail roundabout and will include a restaurant, spa, pool, library, après ski lounge and select shops.

Solaris
Roof work will continue on the Vail Village project throughout the month, said Craig Cohn, director of sales, marketing and leasing for the project.

Windows have been installed on the building’s west side, and now that the scaffolding has been removed, some of the stone work that has been ongoing throughout the winter can be seen.

The project includes 77 condominiums and will also have a three-screen movie theater, a 10-lane bowling alley, stores, restaurants and an ice rink in a public plaza. The project is expected to be completed in April 2010.

Tower Residences
Steel work on the Lionshead project just finished up, and the last concrete slabs will be poured this week, said David Viele, president of Viele Construction.

Work on the exterior and interior drywall will continue over the next couple weeks. The project is set for a November or December opening

The project will give a major facelift to the existing condo building, expand the existing units, as well as add nine new condos to the Lionsquare North building.

Landmark Condominiums
The roof on the Lionshead project’s lobby was unveiled last week, and more stonework is going up on the building’s towers, said Howard Olsen, senior project manager with Alter Construction.

The roof has also started on the building’s sixth level.

Decorative work is also underway — stone pavers are going in, a stone chimney will go up this month, and woodwork is set to begin, Olsen said.

The Landmark, which includes the clock tower and 17 condos, is above Billy’s Island Grill, North Face, the General Store and One Track Mind. Plans also include a new exterior for the existing buildings and remodeling 23 of the 28 existing condos. The project is set for completion in spring 2010.
