East Vail is in the narrowest part of the Vail Valley. Surrounded
on both sides by the tall pines of the White River National forest,
this area is a fabulous destination for both hiking and snowshoeing.
Waterfalls and tributaries slice through the neighborhood as they rush
into the Gore Creek. East Vail features a large park with playground,
lake and off-leash dog privileges. East Vail is accessed by one road
and a recreation path and has absolutely no thru traffic. Commercial
space is limited to a small grocery store, liquor store, property
management, one full-service restaurant and a small campground.
