Wide trails and rolling terrain are essential to a great Nordic experience. In the winter, Vail’s golf course doubles as a Nordic center. Wonderful trails with mild ascents and wild descents are all perfectly groomed for both skate and traditional skiing. A house on the golf course or along the recreation path in East Vail will provide easy access to Nordic skiing.
Beaver Creek also has a fantastic Nordic center, which offers a complete rental shop and is an official center for Fischer cross-country skis, Atlas snowshoes and The TeleTech Center. From the Nordic Sports Center, guests are encouraged to explore McCoy Park at the top of the Strawberry Park Express lift. McCoy Park is a private playground for snowshoers and cross country skiers with 30+ kilometers of groomed and rustic trails crossing pine forests, aspen groves, open glades and views of three mountain ranges. Quite simply, magnificent.
